FIELD: production of synthetic drying oil. SUBSTANCE: drying oil is prepared by cooligomerization of unsaturated hydrocarbons of C5 fraction of pyrolysis of petroleum products. The process is carried out in the presence of solvent, titanium tetrachloride (being used as catalyst) and mixture of lower ketone with water (used as promoting additive). After polymerization degasification of polymerizate and deactivation of catalyst are carried out. Mass ratio of catalyst and promoting additive is 2.5-5.0, concentration of catalyst at cooligomerization stage being 0.7-1.0 mass %. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 2 tbl
