FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for electrochemical cracking of hydrocarbon material involving electrochemical cracking of hydrocarbon material in a reactor on the surface of a metal conductor which is installed in the reactor in contact with material, through which electric current is passed. The hydrocarbon material used is a propane-butane hydrocarbon mixture, and the metal conductor is in form of a coil.
EFFECT: obtaining ethylene and propylene with high output, easy production.
