SUBSTANCE: for the purpose of gas chromatography analysis of oral fluid in children, a sample to be examined is additionally acidified by trifluoromethyl sulphonic acid or fluorosulphonic acid, or 40% aqueous perchloric acid to pH 1.9-2.1. The values derived by this method can be used in monitoring of the effectiveness of therapeutic measures, studying of an effect of new pharmaceutical preparations and prebiotics on the normal microflora.

EFFECT: invention provides determining the concentration of specific volatile fatty acids in the oral fluid having low total concentration and the biological samples taken in small amounts.
