METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE OROPHARYNGEAL DYSBIOSIS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/487 G01N30/12

Abstract RU 2741709 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for evaluating the oropharyngeal dysbiosis in children. Content of acetic, propionic, isobutyric, butyric and caproic acids is determined in the saliva of a child by gas-liquid chromatography. Then, using classification equations of linear discriminant analysis, the value of diagnostic coefficients evaluating the dysbiosis state is calculated by formulas F1=12210.91*C2+11890.28*C3+13156.14*iC4+12226.24*C4+42514.51*C6-6025.33, F2=12015.23*C2+11738.47*C3+12952.92*iC4+12062.53*C4+41838.19*C6-5846.01, where F1 is the diagnostic coefficient, at the maximum value of which the oropharyngeal dysbiosis is established; F2 is the diagnostic coefficient, at the maximum value of which the oropharyngeal dysbiosis is not established; C2 is relative concentration of acetic acid; C3 is relative concentration of propionic acid; iC4 is isobutyric acid relative concentration; C4 is the relative concentration of butyric acid; C6 is relative concentration of caproic acid. If F1 is more than F2, oropharyngeal dysbiosis is established, and if F1 is less than F2, absence of oropharyngeal dysbiosis is established.

EFFECT: method provides fast and reliable assessment of oropharyngeal dysbiosis in children by identifying a specific ratio of concentrations of single-chain fatty acids in saliva, that allows to take into account changes in all loci of oropharyngeal biotope and change of anaerobic part of microbiocenosis.
