FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fuel bundle (14) may comprise many rods (18/20), including rods (18) with nuclear fuel and/or rods (20) for production of isotopes. Each rod (18/20) comprises multiple connected segments (40) of a rod, in which at least two of segments (40) of the rod (40), in at least one rod (18/20) have various external diametres (D). Fuel bundle (14) may additionally comprise many spacing grids (34) for rods reliably fixed between segments (40) of the rod arranged along the axis as adjacent and connected to each other. Spacing grids (34) for rods connected to each other between segments (40) of the rod that are adjacent in the axial direction form a matrix of rods (18/20) substantially spatially equally spaced from each other. The fuel bundle (14) may additionally contain an extended tubular channel (22), in which matrix-forming rods (18/20) are placed.
EFFECT: lower debris effect in a core.
