FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of nonterrestrial objects against space refuse, meteorites and other dangerous objects and to cleaning of near-Earth space environment of dead artificial satellites, their fragments etc. proposed method consists in making obstacle to affect refuse by kinetic shock effects. Note here that said obstacle is composed of several compact obstacles, each being made up of regularly distributed pelletised explosive. Conical strikers (vertex angle of 45° to 90°) are arranged at obstacle vertices. Said strikers may be composed of containers for explosive. Quantity of sprayed obstacles and distance between them is defined proceeding from expected sizes of refuse and relative speed on approach. Note here that energy of oncoming refuse flow should be lower that that brought about by obstacles and strikers.
