FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space means of protection against space debris, for examples, meteorites, comet and asteroid nuclei and may be used to prevent collisions of large fragments with Earth. Proposed method consists in affecting space debris fragment by explosions of explosives in surface layers of meteorite-comet substance using space interceptors launched to said fragment. Explosions are initiated in sequential trains at variable frequency matched to geometrical sizes and density of said fragment obtained using remote probing and spectrographic analysis. Power of explosions is sequentially increased.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
