SUBSTANCE: in a water heater, where the primary heating water heated with the help of a burner in the main heat exchanger, is supplied to heating, and the secondary heating water that has exchanged heat with the primary heating water in an instantaneous heat exchanger, is supplied as hot water, heating water flow rate is controlled using a flow controller. At the same time, according to the first version of realisation, the flow controller is a mixing valve, having one inlet and two outlets, and a flow-controlling element to control flow of heating water supplied via outlets. According to the second version of realisation, a flow controller comprises the first and second proportional flow-controlling valves to control flow rate of water supplied for heating and heating water supplied to an instantaneous heat exchanger.

EFFECT: development of a water heater allowing for both water heating for heating purposes and hot water supply with easy control of heated water temperature.
