FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to farm industry, in particular, to a method for production of a medical fodder additive and the additive application. The method for production of a medical fodder peat additive involves peat soaking in water with addition of an alkaline component, the weight ratio of peat to water equal to 1:(25-30), and physical impact on the mixture. The produced peat-and-water mixture is exposed to physical impact in a hydrodynamic rotary-cavitational homogeniser-activator of flow-through centrifugal type by way of the mixture repeated recirculation through a mechanically rotating work tool during 1.5-2.0 hours till production of a homogeneous paste with particles sized no more than 0.2 mm and the product pH equal to 8-9. The base raw material is represented by refined dry peat of Basyanovskoe peat works (Sverdlovsk Region). The produced medical additive is administered with feedstuff to animals in an amount of 0.2-0.5 ml per 1 kg of the live weight 1 time a day.
EFFECT: proposed invention usage will allow to manufacture a product with increased content of humic components as well as enhance animal productivity and improve the manufactured product quality.
