FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to psychophysiological medicine, medical and measuring techniques, and may be applied for driver's fitness for driving by stationary measurement of a driver's hand-eye reaction on near-accident driving situation. An apparatus comprises a driving simulator with a driver's seat, a steering wheel, a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal, a gear lever. The driving simulator is provided with a visual display unit for simulation of near-accident and safe driving situations attached with a central processor unit for experimental measurement and processing. The brake pedals and the accelerator pedal have contact sensor reacting on driver's actions and forming signals for processing. The sensors are integrated in cap pieces reinforced with a brace on the brake pedals and the accelerator pedal. The brake pedal is attached to the central processor unit, and the accelerator sensor - to an audible imitator represented in the form of an acoustic column for creating an audible background of engine operation and control for experimenter of a feet position of a driver being tested on the brake pedal.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher accuracy and reliability of the measurement results, as well as reduced time for experimental data processing.
