FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and medical equipment, namely to surgical ophthalmology. An IOL comprises an optical portion and a support portion. A front surface of the optical portion comprises a convex parabolic surface, while a back surface of the optical portion represents a surface of an aspheric Schmidt plate reflected with respect to a plane drawn through inflection points of the aspheric Schmidt plate and perpendicular to an IOL symmetry axis. A concavity of the back surface of the optical portion in the centre of the optical portion faces the front surface of the optical portion, while the symmetry axis of the front surface of the optical portion matches with the centre of symmetry of the back surface. The support portion represents a flat ellipse with the diametric segments on a greater axis of the ellipse comprising through X-cuts.
EFFECT: use of the presented design enables compensating and reducing spherical aberration, enlarging visual field and providing multifocality.
