FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmology. A flexible intraocular lens made of a biocompatible elastic material comprises a round optical portion and flat arched haptic elements oppositely unbent and attached to the optical portion symmetrically to the diameter through intermediate extensions with through holes. The intermediate extensions cover an area equal to 85-95°. Each hole represents an equilateral trapezium with rounded out bases with its longitudinal axis being parallel to a chord passing through extreme transitions point of the optical portions into the intermediate extensions. The longitudinal size is specified provided separation of needle carrier branches when gripping a filament through this hole. The greater base is directed towards an internal surface of the arched element, while its end surface - within the area adjoining the greater base comprises a filament bridge limited by a slot on the internal surface of the arched element.
EFFECT: use of the declared invention enables providing the stable position of the IOL in an eye both after standard intracapsular implantation, and after suture fixation in complicated situations accompanied by capsular support insufficiency.
