FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises separation chamber equipped with rotary hollow structural member mounted on its top wall. Said rotary structural member comprises multiple blades making gas passages but deflecting solid particles carried by gas. Proposed device comprises cylindrical partition surrounding said rotary hollow structural element to facilitate deflecting the flow of mixed solids and gas fed into separation chamber for ease of settling of solids. Proposed method may be used for separation of gas and polymer produced in polymerisation reaction.
EFFECT: efficient separation before suspension polymerisation and not obligatory polymerisation in gas phase.
