SUBSTANCE: cutting tool comprises holder having, at least, four cartridge seats, each having two lateral walls, bottom wall and rear wall, cartridge to receive cutting plate to be fitted into said seat, and cutting plate to be fitted into appropriate cartridge. Note here that first set of cutting plates comprises one half of cutting plates arranged in line while second set comprises another half of cutting plates. Note here that cutting plates in first set are arranged opposed to those in second set. Note also that every cutting plate in said sets are located at different axial and radial distances from holder axis. Note that cutting edge of, at least, one of cutting plates in first said set is located at the same axial distance whereat cutting edge of, at least, one of cutting plates in second set is located.
EFFECT: higher efficiency due to faster feed.
