FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to means of adjusting excitation current in electric transmission of diesel locomotive with self-contained heat engine. Proposed microprocessor system comprises diesel engine coupled with transition generator make diesel-generator set, exciter rigidly coupled with diesel engine, traction generator voltage transducer, traction generator load current transducer, diesel-generator rpm transducer, and pickup to indicate fuel feed to diesel. Microprocessor controller comprises first and second setting devices, 1st, 2nd and 3rd comparators, pneumatic brake control unit, motion mode computation and operating conditions indication unit, and interface. Note here that said controller is provided with functional converter with input connected with diesel-generator shaft rpm transducer output and outputs connected with 1st input of 3rd comparator and 1st input of adder, integrator with output connected to adder 2nd input. Adder output is connected to 1st input of 1st comparator. Comparator 2nd input is connected to multiplier output.
