FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: laser ranger includes a transmitting channel for formation of a probe radiation beam and its direction to the target, which includes a laser emitter and a transmitting optic system. Receiving channel for receiving the signal reflected with the target, which is parallel to it, includes a photoreceiving device and a receiving lens. Output of the transmitting channel is provided with semi-transparent diffuser, the dispersion coefficient of which is chosen so that energy of radiation reflected from targets located in the range of distances from R0 to R1 and supplied to sensitive platform of photoreceiving device corresponds to actuation threshold of the latter. R0<R1 - minimum specified measured distance. R1 - length of shadow zone formed in the range of distances, where fields of vision of transmitting and receiving channels are not overlapped.
EFFECT: reduction of minimum measured distance by reducing the shadow zone of the instrument function.
