FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: methods and devices are provided for assistance to switching of service cells with a HSPA (high-speed packet access) technology from each RNC (radio access network controller), a base station and an access terminal. RNC preliminarily configures an access terminal and each of base stations in the active set, for functioning according to HS-DSCH by means of provision of identification codes. which identify each of base stations. RNC sends data packets marked with serial numbers, of each base station, where they are synchronously buffered. The access terminal initiates transfer of service by means of transfer of a PDU (protocol data unit) to each of base stations. PDU is coded with an identification code of a target base station and a serial number of the next packet. The target object receives the PDU and directly completes transfer of service with the access terminal.

EFFECT: improved transfer of configuration information.
