SUBSTANCE: disclosed versions of implementation include detection of adjacent access point presence within range of access point radio communication. Signal intensity corresponding to adjacent access point is identified so that adjacent nodes signal intensity is function of adjacent access point transmission power. Access point transmission power is then changed as function of signal intensity of adjacent nodes.

EFFECT: reducing potential interference from adjacent base stations in wireless environment.
