SUBSTANCE: wireless local area network (WLAN) and a cellular network provides for user-invisible and reliable movement of services between a cellular domain and a WLAN domain in order to minimise service disruption for an end user and provision of required quality of service (QoS) for different applications. In aspects provided in this document there are different mechanisms described, which serve to optimise points of decision making in respect to the fact of when and with which technology association of each service is expected, and improved methods are provided for movement of a wireless communication device between the cellular domain and the WLAN domain in process of traffic transfer and in passive mode.
