SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a hybrid epilating device and, in particular, to a hybrid epilating device comprising a shaving blade. The hybrid epilating device comprises at least one of shaving blade (80) having a sharpened edge, designed to cut hair. The device also comprises an epilating cylinder having at least one pair of clamping elements which during the device operation are driven by the drive structure, and are transferred alternatively into an open position and a closed position. As a result, the hair can be fed into the gap between the pair of clamping elements at their open position, and can be captured and plucked from the surface (90) of the skin.
