SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an enzyme electrode containing carbon particles which carry glucose dehydrogenase (GDH) with flavine adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a coenzyme and an electrode layer which is in contact with the carbon particles, wherein the carbon particles and the electrode layer consist of the carbon particles with a particle diameter of not more than 100 nm and specific surface area of at least 200 m2/g. The invention also relates to a method of making said electrode, as well as a glucose sensor and an enzyme fuel cell using said electrode.
EFFECT: electrode does not require use an electron mediator, thereby enabling to obtain a high value of response current and a wide dynamic spectrum when used as a glucose sensor.
