METHOD OF SURGICAL CORRECTION OF AORTA COARCTATION IN CHILDREN OF YOUNG AGE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to cardiac surgery. Complete reconstruction of distal part of aorta arch with elimination of aorta coarctation is carried out in conditions of normothermia. If residual pressure gradient is higher than 15 mm Hg, "extended" anastomosis is supplemented with reverse plasty of hypoplastic distal part of aorta arch with flap of subclavian artery (FSA). For this purpose FSA is intersected. Cut of proximal FSA stump is performed through orifice with formation of flap for reverse plasty. Hypoplastic section of aorta arch is dissected to orifice of left common carotid artery (LCCA) on external curvature of aorta arch. Formed defect is covered with sewing flap to defect edges from flap apex in the area of LCCA orifice. Aorta occlusion is stopped. Hemostasis control is performed. Distal end of left subclavian artery is implanted into the side of left common carotid artery.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform complete aorta reconstruction with preservation of physiological blood circulation of left upper extremity, preserve antegrade blood blow due to formation of anastomosis between left subclavian artery and left common carotid artery.
