FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises making the moulds, installing the coolers, pouring cast iron from furnace into ladle, filling the nods with cast iron, and cooling of crystallising metal. In pouring, gypsum in amount of 0.1-0.8% and ferromanganese in amount of 3.0% are added into ladle.
EFFECT: better sulfur assimilation in ladle, higher hardness and increased depth in chilled layer.
