FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production and concerns the production of bleached wear-resistant castings, specifically castings of tiller machine working bodies. Method includes the preparation of a raw sandy-clay form, the installation in a refrigerator form, which provides the chill in a working body cutting part, the section thickness increases from 2…3 to 25…35 mm, casting of cast iron into the mold and subsequent cooling of the crystallizing metal. Volume of the refrigerator is chosen from the calculation of 3⋅10-8 m3 per square millimeter of the bleached surface of the casting. Casting is produced from high-strength cast iron with a carbon content of 3.3…3.6 %, silicon 1.21…1.53 %, manganese 0.4…0.7 %, magnesium 0.4…0.6 % and sulfur ≤0.02 %, which is poured into the mold at a temperature of 1,360…1,430 °C. Bleached working layer passes to a depth of 5…7 mm, and the width of the transition zone is not more than 8…10 mm.

EFFECT: increased wear resistance of working bodies, good machinability cutting, elimination of brittle fracture with sharp increase in load are provided.
