FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry metallurgy, in particular to the development of a method for producing a hard wear-resistant casting. Invention relates to a method for producing wear-resistant structures in the cutting edge of the plough share, including the production of a green sand mold, installation in the form of refrigerators, casting the cast iron into the mold and subsequent cooling of the crystallizing metal, while installing steel refrigerators with a volume of 1.5⋅10-8 m3 per square millimeter of the hard surface of the casting, cast iron with a carbon content of 3.3–3.6 %, silicon 1.27–1.59 %, manganese 0.4–0.7 %, magnesium 0.4–0.6% and sulfur ≤0.02 % is cast into a green sand mold at a temperature of 1,360–1,430 °C, chill the cutting edge of the plough share is made to a depth of 2–3 mm.
EFFECT: increased durability and performance in the cutting edge of the plough share for high density soils.
