FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry metallurgy and can be used for the chilled wear resistant casting production from cast iron. Performing the sand-clay mold production, into which the steel coolers are installed. Performing the cast iron pouring into the mold and further cooling of the crystallizing metal. Installing coolers with volume of 2.3⋅10-8 m3 per casting chilled surface square millimeter. Pouring the cast iron with content of carbon 3.3…3.6 %, silicon 1.27…1.59 %, manganese 0.4…0.7 %, magnesium 0.4…0.6 % and sulfur ≤ 0.02 % into the wet sand-clay mold at temperature of 1360…1430 °C. Enabling the plow share cutting edge chilling to depth of 4…5 mm.
EFFECT: result is increase in the plow share cutting edge wear resistance and operational characteristics for the low-density soils.
