FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for semi-quantitative or quantitative analysis of assays comprises steps of: assigning a unique barcode coded text segment on a test strip of the assay; acquiring an image having the barcode coded text segment together with response zones generated by the assay; identifying the unique barcode coded text segment in the acquired image, and using this image of the barcode coded text segment as an optical calibration entity; using the calibration information to detect positions of test result lines in the respective response zones generated by the assay. The group of inventions also relates to an assay analysis system, having a computer device configured to execute program instructions providing actions and functions according to the method described above.
EFFECT: high accuracy of analysis.
