FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to nuclear power engineering. Fuel assembly of nuclear reactor comprises bundle of 126 fuel elements. In the middle of each face the case has a through longitudinal slot on the whole length of the case, width (0.6…1.0)·t at beam level, where t is grid spacing of fuel elements arrangement, and in gaps between spacer grids bends along edges of slots inside beam of fuel elements to depth of (0.3…0.5)·d, where d is the outer diameter of the shell of the fuel element. Corner parts of the case are connected by spot welding with a shell, spacer grids and a central pipe to form a power frame. Central pipe is rigidly connected to central sleeves of spacing grids by spot welding. There is also a version of the fuel assembly.
EFFECT: group of inventions improves mechanical characteristics, reliability and serviceability of a nuclear reactor fuel assembly.
