FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: adapter contains a body made of an electrically non-conductive material wherein grooves are arranged with electric contacts positioned inside the grooves for installation/output of the plug pins pair. The body is equipped with a screw socket having a wall made of an electrically non-conductive material and a central electric contact. The electric contacts in the grooves are connected to the wall and the socket central electric contact via electric wires with a fuse; the socket wall is partially or fully perforation with small holes.

EFFECT: indication of the adapter failure through release of characteristic odour of burnt fuse through perforation holes in the socket wall.
