FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to menstrual tampons for intravaginal application. A tampon (1) comprises an absorbent body (2) enclosed in a liquid-permeable coating (3). The tampon has an end (4) for insertion and an end (5) for removal and additionally comprises at least one removal cord (6). The coating has a number of first turned over flappers (10) and/or a number of second turned over flappers (20). Each first turned over flapper (10) is formed by a section of the coating (3) and movable between a first initial position and a first turned over position when removing the tampon from the user's vagina. Each second turned over flapper (20) is formed by a section of the coating (3) and movable between a second initial position and a second turned over position when inserting the tampon into the user's vagina.
EFFECT: easy insertion and removal of the menstrual tampon from the user's body.
