Proposed device comprises the following units: electric power equipment, microprocessor controller, and locomotive monitoring units. Electric power equipment unit comprises temperature transducers while microprocessor controller incorporates ADCs, output amplifiers, and comparators. Locomotive monitoring unit comprises data on temperature of electric power equipment and signals warning about its overheating.

EFFECT: higher reliability, longer life, lower power consumption.
