SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery industry and can be used in cutting machines of harvesters. The reaper of grain combine harvester comprises a housing of a frame with vertical sides and a bottom. The cutting device is located on the bottom, it comprises a drive mechanism and a device for cutting stems, made in the form of cutting and shearing elements. A cutting element is used as an auger which edges are sharpened. And a shearing element is used as an arc-shaped cover with dividers and reinforcement ribs mounted rigidly on the bottom and over the entire auger. On one side of the cover the slits are made in the form of segments located on a helical curve. One side of the slit is directed opposed the auger movement and is sharpened. The slit length is 3/4 the length of the cross-section of the cover.

EFFECT: reaper design eliminates vibration during operation.
