FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of feed kettles. Blanks of tabletop, shell ring, kettle bottom and shell ring jacket are blank to forge tabletop. Kettle body and shell ring and jacket ring cylinders are formed to be butt-welded together. Kettle body bottom is formed to weld it to kettle body shell ring. Kettle body and jacket shell ring are flanged to place kettle body flange on tabletop surface so that tabletop opening is aligned with inner cylindrical cavity of the kettle to weld kettle body flange with tabletop flange. Then, jacket shell ring flange is placed on tabletop so that kettle body flange outer edge is located inside jacket shell ring. Jacket shell ring flange and that of tabletop are welded together so that distance between centers of weld joint is related to weld joint width as 2-2.5:1.

EFFECT: production of feed kettles.
