FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding of steel axially-symmetric critical welded structures, including variable-thickness elements of said structures. Complex-shape axially-symmetric welded structure comprises spherical bottom, skirt, central barrel and ring with wall thickness ratio of 2.7…3.4. First, half-assembly is produced by welding bottom, skirt, barrel and high-temperature tempering. Then, said half-assembly and ring are subjected to hardening thermal treatment in quenching with tempering. Finally, they are welded together and additionally tempered.
EFFECT: equal-strength of proposed structure, its higher efficiency, reliability and linger life.
