FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to organic chemistry, more specifically to a method for preparing 2- and 4-(1,5,3-dithiazocynan-3-yl)phenols of general formula (1): which consists in the fact that formaldehyde is pre-mixed with 1,3-propandithiol at room (~20°C) temperature for 30 min, added with o-, n-aminophenol in EtOH as a solvent in the presence of the catalyst samaric nitrate crystalline hydrate Sm(NO3)3·6H2O in molar ratio of formaldehyde : 1,3 -propandithiol : o-, n-aminophenol : Sm(NO3)3·6H2O - 20 : 10 : 10 : (0.3-0.7) in the argon environment at room (~20°C) temperature and atmospheric pressure for 2.5-3.5 h.
EFFECT: what is developed is a method for preparing new 2- and 4-(1,5,3-dithiazocynan-3-yl)phenols which can find application as antibacterial, antimycotic and antiviral agents as biologically active complexing agents, selective sorbents and extractants of precious metals, special agents for bacterial activity suppression in various technical media.
