FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocinanes of formula (I) , R=4-SH, 2-OH, 4-OH, 4-COOH. The method comprises reacting aromatic amines (4-aminothiophenol, 4-aminobenzoic acid, 4-aminophenol or 2-aminophenol of general formula R-C6H4-NH2, where R=4-SH, 4-CO2H, 4-OH, 2-OH) with 1-oxa-3,7-dithiacyclooctane in an argon medium in the presence of a Sm(NO3)3·6H2O catalyst at room temperature (about 20°C) and atmospheric pressure in an ethanol-chloroform solvent medium for 2.5-3.5 hours. Output of 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocinanes (1) is equal to 60-88%.
EFFECT: obtaining 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocinanes.
