SUBSTANCE: method involves the stage of determination of type and content of biofuel contained in fuel, control stage of injection intensity of reagents and/or additives, control stage of at least one of injection parameters and control stage of at least one of combustion parameters depending on content and type of biofuel in the fuel supplied to internal combustion engine to minimise polluting emissions. Content and type of biofuel are determined by means of a spectroscopic sensor. Injection parameters are as follows: number of injections, injection advance, duration of injection, intensity of injections, control of supercharging mode - flow rate, pressure and temperature of inlet air, change of the section of the turbine guide vanes at operation with turbines with variable geometry. Combustion parameters are as follows: exhaust gas recirculation intensity, cooling of recirculated exhaust gases, compression degree in engines with variable compression degree, and opening and closing of valves. Engine system and equipment using the above method are described.
EFFECT: determination of content and type of biofuel in fuel considering the use of fuel - polluting emissions combination.
