FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining acoustic pressure of a moving extended source of acoustic field involves synchronous multichannel reception of hydroacoustical signals by means of a linear antenna from equidistant receivers, summation of received signals, amplitude detection of total signal and recording of the result of amplitude detection of total signal. Prior to summation of hydroacoustical signals in each of the channels there performed is their band-pass filtering; in signals filtered in frequency bands there multiplied are their instantaneous frequencies by the number of equidistant receivers in linear antenna; then, signals with multiplied instantaneous frequencies are added; amplitude detection of total signal is performed, and received signal is multiplied by the signal shaped as a result of detection of the sum of signals with initial instantaneous frequencies; after that, multiplication result is recorded.

EFFECT: increasing resolution capability of the method for determining acoustic pressure using directed reception at constant aperture of the antenna, and without increasing the number of receiving elements.
