FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and can be used to evaluate the efficiency of sound-absorbing structures of acoustic protection equipment in shipbuilding, for example, when creating active anti-sonar coatings characterized by a low-frequency operating range. Problem is solved as follows. Method of reverberation interference suppressing when measuring the acoustic characteristics of an active anti-sonar coating in a limited water area, including the emission of a complex sounding signal, synchronous multi-channel reception of a reflected signal and an interference signal, generation of directional reception and recording of the resulting signal. In each receiving channel performing frequency compression of the received signal by a variable delay relative to a reference signal at a predetermined frequency, its band-pass filtering in the vicinity of a predetermined frequency, and after the directed reception generation, the original time scale of the resulting signal is restored by means of an inverse variable delay and it is recorded.
EFFECT: comparison of discrete antenna directional patterns obtained for a complex initial signal and a signal obtained as a result of operations according to the proposed method shows that its main advantage over the prototype method is in suppression of the interference caused by false reflections, due to restoring of the discrete antenna spatial selectivity.
