SUBSTANCE: electrochemical device having said electrolyte has a positive electrode casing 1, a positive electrode pellet 2 which is made from active material of the positive electrode or similar, a positive electrode 11 consisting of a metal mesh support element 3, a negative electrode cap 4, wherein the negative electrode 12 is made from active material of the negative electrode 5, and a separator 6 which is saturated with the electrolytic solution 7 and lies between the positive electrode pellet and the active material of the negative electrode. Magnesium metal Mg, alkyl trifluoromethane sulphonate, a quaternary ammonium salt and/or a 1,3-alkylmethylimidazolium salt, more preferably an aluminium halide, are added to an organic solvent - ether system and then heated, after which, more preferably, a boron trifluoride-ether complex salt is added thereto, thereby obtaining an electrolyte solution.
EFFECT: improved characteristics of the electrolyte and the electrochemical device using said electrolyte.
