FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to plastic surgery. Bucket-handle grafting of a tissue defect involves formation of excess soft tissues within a finger stump. An endoexpander is placed within the stump after engraftment. The bucket-handle graft is separated on a lateral portion and a medial portion. The osteocutaneous graft is moved for osteosynthesis of the bone fragment. The skin defects on the back and radial surfaces of the finger are displaces by the lateral and medial portions of the bucket-handle graft. A cutaneous portion of the graft is placed on a working surface and an end surface of the finger.
EFFECT: method provides the defect repair of thumb soft tissues without increasing a donor's defect and the use of an additional graft.
