FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of polymers, particularly, to degassing of polymers, solutions and/or monomers with the help of degassing extruder. Proposed extruder comprises drive, cylinder, screw running in bearing of extruder cylinder, material inlet, extruded material outlet, degassing zone, gas exhaust and condensation chamber connected either directly behind has exhaust or via pipeline. Note here that aforesaid drive is arranged nearby extruder screw bottom end in direction of polymer flow feed. Degassing extruder is configured to make degassing zone formed by extruder cylinder section with increased ID. Material inlet is located in degassing zone. Gas discharge is located at the extruder cylinder end upstream of polymer feed flow and condensation chamber entry.
EFFECT: efficient separation of solvent and monomer from polymer.
