SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the present invention, an air conditioner capable of preventing the emission of excess heat with the element that emits the heat due to induction heating is proposed. Air conditioner (1) that includes compressor (21), external heat exchanger (23), expansion valve (24) with an electric drive and internal heat exchanger (41) includes winding (68) and control unit (11) as well. Winding (68) generates magnetic field for induction heating of cooling agent pipeline (F). Control unit (11) sets a volume rate of circulating cooling agent in a cooling cycle that includes compressor (21), internal heat exchanger (41), expansion valve (24) with an electric drive and external heat exchanger (23), and when volume rate of circulating cooling agent increases, it causes generation of magnetic field in winding (68).

EFFECT: preventing the emission of excess heat with the heating element.
