FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: stereoscopic measurement system captures stereo images and determines measurement information for user-designated points within stereo images. The system has an image capturing device for capturing stereo images of an object. A processing system displays stereo images and allows the user to select at least one point on the stereo images. The processing system processes the designated points on the stereo images to determine measurement information for the designated points.
EFFECT: providing a portable image capturing device for operation in different conditions with objects located in remote places, high measurement accuracy.
