FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves sampling of the peripheral area of the tumour material in number of 3-4 samples, conducting electron microscopy of cross-section capillaries. The electron microscopy involves saving a digital image of the tumour area with visualised longitudinal and transversal sections of any vessels containing endothelial adherences. The endothelial adherences are shaped with respect to a vascular wall, and if they appeared to be shaped as a straight line in more than 50% of the sampled vessels, the cerebral oedema is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention provides the objective assessment of the endothelial ultrastructural components, and also enables stating whether the BBB damage is total and surrounds the perimetre of the vascular lumen, or is limited to only a certain sector.
