FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membranes, namely, to fabrication of cation-exchange membranes used for electrolyte solution desalination by electrodialysis. Proposed method comprises making polymer film with carbon nanotubes on membrane substrate. First, polymer solution is mixed with carbon nanotubes and processed by ultrasound. Produced composite is applied on membrane substrate and dried. Said membrane substrate represents a sulfocationite ion-exchange membrane while composite represents 1-25%-mix of sulfonated polytetrafluoroethylene with carbon nanotubes processed by ultrasound. Said solution is applied to make uniform film on one of initial cation-exchange pre-degreased membrane substrate to be dried at 25-80°C unless hardening. Now, it is subjected to limit-density electric current for, at least 100 hours.
EFFECT: efficient process, higher hydrophobic property and better mass exchange characteristics.
