FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and may be used in producing cold-rolled hard-drawn sheet steel with or without coating for further bending or forming, particularly, roof sheet iron. Proposed method comprises heating, hot rolling of strips, water cooling, etching and cold rolling to strip final thickness h. Note here that strip cold rolling is performed with total reduction defined by the following relationship: D=1.50-1.70; E=2.2-4.9; F=1.0-3.4. Note also that hot rolling is carried out to thickness defined by the following relationship where H is hot-rolled strip thickness.
EFFECT: maximum strength at preset ductility.
