FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: device is proposed to extract a solid fraction from a fluid medium flow. The device comprises a porous filter (2), which separates a filtration unit (1) into an upper pre-filtration chamber (3), where a fluid medium sample is placed (4), from which cells must be extracted, and a low post-filtration chamber (5), where fluid medium is placed, which may transmit an acoustic standing wave. An acoustic element (8) is connected with the possibility of removal with a substrate (7), which is arranged below the lower chamber (5). The substrate resonates in response to the element (8) generating an acoustic wave and generates a standing wave with the frequency in the range of 300-700 Hz, passing through two liquid phases and a filter for disturbance of the sample (4). Cyclic process of vacuum extract (9) causes motion of the sample (4) down through the filter (2). Fluid media in pre- and post-filtration chambers serially move through the filter in opposite directions. At the same time the diameter of filter pores is 2-4 mcm. The filter is connected with a holder made as capable of causing vibration of the filter in vertical or side direction, or with provision of combination of these directions. Also the method is proposed to extract a solid fraction from a fluid medium sample using the specified device.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to minimise clogging of a filter and extract within one stage cells of certain population from a heterogeneous mixture of cells.
