FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to separation of cells, in particular, to separation of blood components. Method of separating cells of high density and cells of low density from blood sample includes: placing a rigid cartridge in a centrifuge; transfer of sample to rigid cartridge chamber; centrifugation of rigid cartridge; providing first path for cells of high density through end of rigid chamber into first rigid compartment for storage; observation of migration of cells of high density through end of rigid chamber; providing a second path for cells of low density and certain amount of plasma via end of rigid chamber in a second rigid compartment for storage. Centrifugation is performed so that said sample is forced to move in direction of said end under action of a first dynamic load of at least 10 G, and then under action of a second dynamic load, less than first dynamic load, but greater than 1 G. Invention also discloses versions of method of separating cells of high density and cells of low density from blood sample, device for separation of cells of high density and cells of low density from blood sample, as well as a rigid cartridge for separation of cells of high density and cells of low density from blood sample.

EFFECT: group of inventions increases efficiency of collection of target cell populations, characterised by low density.
