FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method for assembling bevel gear consists in adjustment of space position of driving (2) and driven (3) gears with the help of adjustment rings (3, 8) to provide alignment of pitch cone tops in space point (10) and provision of quality control of contact of gear teeth working surfaces and side gap between them. For this purpose there measured are the sizes L1 and L2 from base planes of driving and driven bevel gears to the tops of their pitch cones. Then they are compared to the allowed values. Instead of the said wheels there mounted are gauges (13, 14) of driving and driven gear. Axial loads, set by value and direction, are created. There defined is a mutual position of gear axes (11, 12) and the value of their deviation from each other, compared it to the permissible one. There calculated are the thicknesses L3 and L4 of adjustment rings (3, 8). Bevel gearing is assembled with them.

EFFECT: invention allows increasing the accuracy of assembling orthogonal and non-orthogonal bevel gears, improving processibility and excluding multiple assembling-disassembling of the gears.
